She was the captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams, which were winners in their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she won gold medals in both floor and team events, in addition to the bronze medal for the balance beam, making her the most recognized American gymnast to compete at the Games. She received the gold medal in the team competition at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas, her teammate, also was awarded gold. Raisman received silver medals in the individual all-around, and floor exercise. She is the third-highest decorated American gymnast in Olympic history behind Shannon Miller and Simone Biles with six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams in the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the bronze medalist in the world championships for floor exercise in 2011. She is also the two-time champion of the national championship of floor exercise (2012,2015) and the national champion in 2012 of balance beam and five-time medallist in all-around at national championships (silver and bronze in 2016 and 2010, as well as in 2011 (2012), 2012 and the year 2015). She was inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
