Awkwafina
Awkwafina has been described as an American actor and performer who started her career through innovative raps which addressed gender and ethnic identities from a an edgy, comical perspective. Then she branched out to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the daughter of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. Additionally, she was given the classical and jazz education later delving into hip-hop as a teenager. In her studies, she studied journalism as well as women's studies in college even taking classes in Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. However, it wasn't until she graduated when she decided to turn her attention on music. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an internet sensation and featured in her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also included popular hits that went viral, such as body-positive Queef or the winking city tour NYC Bitche$. This track was directly linked into another venture Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in the year 2015. Her resume contained both an the musician and author. Now she was looking to further her career in acting. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. Her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
