Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his roles on the popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. Since his time at college Christopher Meloni was fascinated by the world of acting. He pursued a degree in acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He was also active in film and TV, his roles on the smaller screen are what brought him much recognition. There is no doubt that the actor has managed to grab audiences' attention by playing characters on both side of the legal system. In the first television show, he played the part of a killer. Later, he was able to portray the role as an NYPD Detective. For his work on the small screen, he's won several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. The actor is famous for his blue-piercing eyes, which have become a signature and helped create a charismatic character for tough roles. He was named as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
