Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his roles on the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. In his first years of college, Meloni was interested in acting. After that, he attended his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both films and television, but the small screen characters that brought him fame and an extensive audience. He has been able to easily play characters on both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' attention. When he first appeared on television, for his debut production, he played a serial murderer. In later projects, he was the character of an NYPD investigator. In recognition of his performance on tiny screens, he's been awarded multiple nominations for prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial features is said to be his piercing blue eye that has allowed him to portray characters who have a rough, charismatic look. The actor was featured as one of People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
